Ho-ho-ho..holiday is upon us and I couldn’t be more thrilled! It’s my most favorite time of the year, hands down. Nothing makes me happy and excited like Christmas. Do you feel the same way? The other day, I just entered a shopping mall and coincidentally Michael Buble’s It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas started to play and somehow it made me smile from ear to ear. Christmas is truly a time of joy am I right? Although I’m not officially celebrating it and this year I’m unable to really be traveling for the holidays, there is still something that makes me excited about Christmas. It’s Christmas movies!
I’m going to just spend Christmas at home this year but it doesn’t make me sad because I’ve got a long list of Christmas movies to watch. Here are a few of them.
It’s not Christmas until I watch Love Actually. It’s THE ultimate Christmas movie. I mean, what’s not to love, Christmas time in London? Checked. Hugh Grant dancing in his knickers? Checked. Bill Nighty singing Christmas Is All Around? Checked. All I Want For Christmas song? Well, checked! Whenever I feel down I always rewatch this movie to remind me of Christmas, because Christmas vibe always makes me happy.
The title says it all. It’s obviously a movie about the holiday and what’s more perfect is this movie portrayed the holidays in two cities, Los Angeles and London. And you obviously couldn’t go wrong with Kate Winslet, Jack Black, Cameron Diaz, and Jude Law combo, could you?
The Family Stone
I really don’t get why this movie is so underrated. I mean who’s not entertained by watching a dysfunctional family consists of Diane Keaton, Rachel McAdams, Luke Wilson, Dermot Mulroney, Tyrone Giordano and Craig Nelson meet with the uptight Sarah Jessica-Parker for the first time. It will make your family drama looks like a walk in a park.
Home Alone 2: Lost In New York
Can you guess why this is the only movie from the Home Alone installments that I like? You’re right because it’s set in New York City. I think this movie is one of the movies that fueled my obsession with the city. I remember being a little girl fantasize about being lost in New York City with my father’s credit card. Such a great holiday movie.
The Princess Switch
Entering the era of Netflix. I caught this movie accidentally and I thought it would be just some lame Hallmark Christmas movie, but it’s got Vanessa Hudgens do I gave it the benefit of the doubt. And I’m glad that I did because this movie is a Christmas treasure. Sure it has silly premise but it doesn’t trigger any cringe-moments at all. Vanessa Hudgens surely helps to make this movie less cringe and more cute.
Let It Snow
It’s almost like Love Actually for your adults. There are several connected stories that will warm your heart this holiday. It’s a perfect movie to watch with hot chocolate on your hands and blanket on you.
So, any of those movies are your favorites too? Or you have other movies you like to watch on the holidays? Let me know because I’m always excited to watch Christmas movies.
